YOU ARE INVITED TO REGISTER AS AN EXPO OR RACE DAY VOLUNTEER FOR THE DELAWARE MARATHON RUNNING FESTIVAL
We need your help to support your community and local charities as well as hundreds of Delaware Marathon Running Festival participants by registering as an Expo or Race Day Volunteer.
Individuals like you, your family, friends and colleagues are key to the success of the Delaware Marathon Running Festival.
More than 500 Expo and Race Day volunteers are needed to make the Delaware Marathon Running Festival successful. Volunteer opportunities are available at the pre-race Health and Fitness Expo and on race day. All expo and race day volunteers will receive an event t-shirt.

A big hearty ‘THANK YOU!’ to all of the volunteers who make the race a fun, family event. The fact that you take time out of your busy schedule to help the runners have a great experience is amazing.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ON SATURDAY
The Health and Fitness Expo:
- Assist with runner distribution of race bibs and premiums
- Assist with runner registration
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ON SUNDAY
- Distribute finisher medals and water at the finish line
- Distribute runner premiums
- Manage people flow
- Direct finishers appropriately
- Assist in recovery area (food/drink distribution)
- Medal presentation
- Kids Fun Run help at start/finish line

NOTE: Water Stop volunteer opportunities are assigned to groups and corporations who commit to staffing the stop’s entire need.
