Requirements
Registrants must be 14 years of age and be able to complete the 13.1 mile course in 6 hours
Field Size
The half-marathon field will be capped at 1500 runners, with a total of 3000 runners in all events; although the Race Director reserves the right to change the size of the half-marathon field.
Registration
Registration for the Delaware Half Marathon will open Summer 2018! Online registration will close April 26, 2019 at 11:59pm or earlier if the field is filled, registration will be available at the expo if space remains. Please register early as we have sold out in the past.

Half-Marathon Course
The 2019 half marathon course will have a few minor changes this year due to construction along the Riverfront past the St. Francis Healthcare building. Both courses will be re-certified.

2019 medal design features a bottle opener so you can use it for years to come. It also features many scenic features you may see on your run including the Tubman Garrett Riverfront Park Welcome Arch, The Brandywine Park Swinging Bridge, the Kalmar Nyckel Tall Ship and the Skyline of Wilmington.
Half-Marathon Awards
Overall Winners: Trophies will be awarded to the overall male and female champions as well as to the and the second and third place finishers.
Awards Ceremony: The awards ceremony will take place at the main stage in the center of Tubman Garrett Riverfront Park at 12:00pm. Only the overall winners from the full marathon, half marathon, team relay, Dare Devil, and 5k will be awarded at the ceremony. Age group awards will be mailed.
Age Groups: Prizes go to the top three non-elite male and female age group finishers for the half marathon in each of the following divisions: 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35- 39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70+
Age group awards will be mailed within a month after the event after finishing times have been verified.
