Virtual Race Information
The Delaware Running Festival is scheduled to be a live race BUT we are excited to announce that this year's race will also have a virtual component! With 4 great virtual distances, the 5k, the 10K, Half Marathon, and the Full Marathon, there’s something for everyone. So get registered today and then check out the next steps below!
I registered to run virtually…what next?
1️⃣ REGISTER for the Virtual 10-Miler
Registration for the virtual race happens in the same way you would sign up for the live race. Simply select the VIRTUAL 10 MILER option from the race options. Complete the registration form and you are ready to roll!
2️⃣ Follow our FACEBOOK COMMUNITY.
We want you to feel part of the race day excitement so be sure to follow our facebook page. This page will have all the information you need to complete your run, as well as interactive activities, encouragement & race day tips. Plus you will get to see some photos and videos from the live race to that will make you feel like you are therein person!
While most of our virtual fun will happen on our Facebook page, you can also join us on our other social media accounts. You can find us on Instagram at @demarathon and our Strava club @Delaware Running Festival
We’ll also be sending out need to know information through emails.
3️⃣ Run YOUR race:
Download your virtual bib to wear while you run your vitual race.
We’re encouraging everyone to complete their race on race day for a true event weekend feel. However, you’re free to do your race ANYTIME, ANYWHERE!
You may use whatever timing and distance tracking method/app that you chose. You are not required to submit your time, however if you want your time posted online, we ask that you submit it on Run Sign Up within two weeks of the live race day. Regardless of whether or not you submit your time, you will get your premium and medal.
4️⃣ Enjoy your SWAG!
Your swag will be mailed to you in late May or early June. In most cases you will receive it before the live race date but that is not guaranteed. Packages are mailed USPS and you will receive a tracking number via email once they ship.
