The Delaware Marathon Running Festival
would not be possible without the support of hundreds of volunteers who
come out, rain or shine, to support this great cause. Because of you, we
are able to donate generously to the Center for Heart and Vascular
Health at Christiana Care, Girls on the Run, LLS Team in Training, and
all our other supporting charities.
Anyone who would like to volunteer should contact the Operations
Director, Joel Schiller. Joel's phone number is
302-884-6566 and his email address is
joelschiller@races2run.com.
All volunteers will be fed a hospitality meal and provided with a
colorful “EVENT VOLUNTEER” t-shirt. Please obtain your t-shirt and meal
ticket from your group leader or report to the large rental truck parked
by the hospitality tent for your swag. Volunteers are to asked to wear
their “t-shirt” while on duty at the event. This allows the race
participants and spectators to know who the volunteers are!!
Music groups, high school bands, cheerleaders, drill teams and
entertainers are encouraged to join the fun. We are always looking for
race course entertainment. Call or email us for more details and
availability.
If you have a charity based group who is willing to help us out, we may
be able to make a small donation back to your group in exchange for your
service to the Delaware Marathon. Contact Joel to discuss.
