All Marathon & Half Marathon Runners Will Receive

Christiana Care Health System and New Balance Delaware will help us design a special technical running shirt (colors tbd) with our multi color event logo to celebrate our Tenth Anniversary.  The shirt comes in both men’s and ladies sizes.  Crown Trophy will design a really nice finisher medal for all marathon finishers and half marathon finishers.  Also, customized race bibs will also be available for all marathon and half marathon runners.  Want a finishers certificate, email us. (Prior Year finisher certificates are still available upon request!). Just email us and we’ll be happy to create one for you and email it or print it and mail it to you.

All Participants Will Receive

All runners will receive their New Balance Technical Shirt, access to a Virtual Race Bag (details to be announced) and a Goodie Bag. The Virtual Race Bag will contain coupons, discounts, special offers, and sponsor messages.   The Goodie Bag will contain SWAG (stuff we all get) including a Delaware Marathon™ Race Program, a “Memo from a Delaware Marathoner” memo pad from Aztec Printing, a DMRF window oval, and our very collectible Delaware Marathon™ Pint Glass from Michelob Ultra. Additionally, other runner amenities are being planned for our tenth anniversary.

Other Items of Interest

New Balance Delaware will be at the marathon Saturday and Sunday selling their “officially licensed” Delaware Marathon™ co-branded clothing items.  National Running Center will also be onsite selling race day essentials.

This year, the Marathon and Half Marathon race bibs will be customized with your first name or nick name. (Email us if you want a nickname printed on your bib)

All runners will be able to register to have automated texts sent to their cell phone and automated results sent to their email.  We would need your email address and/or your cell number and cell carrier to do this.

The race organizers will place roughly 200 personalized Marathon runner signs along Bancroft Parkway near Wawaset Park. Marathon runners are encouraged to remove their sign from its holder on Lap 2 and take it home as a souvenir.   Email us if you want a personalized sign. 

The News Journal will publish the results of the entire marathon field on Monday, May 13, 2013. Alert your family, friends and co-workers that your name, place, time, age, city and state may be in our local newspaper. Complete results of the marathon, half marathon and relay marathon will also be mailed to you over the Summer in a special insert provided by Runner’s Gazette.

Limited transportation from the official downtown race hotels to the race will be made available to runners on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited transportation from the event finish back to the official downtown race hotels will also be made available. This service is generously provided by the Christiana Care Transportation Department. Please go to Event Transportation web page for details.
