2013 Awards- 4 Person Relay Marathon

Cash:

The overall winning relay team will share a $500 cash award (each member will receive $125).

Our Delaware Relay Marathon course record is 2:25:20 set by the New Balance Delaware Racing Team of LoSapio, Ward, Boettcher & Loren. (2010 Delaware Half Marathon). Can you beat their time?

Trophies:

Additionally, Delaware Relay Marathon awards will be given to each member of the winning team in a minimum of 12 Relay Categories (48 awards). Age and gender requirements are listed when applicable. This year we are returning to our infamous runner bobble head awards for all events.

Overall Winning Team (category does not require a female).

Overall winning team is not eligible to double dip for Relay Category awards.

Male Open (combined average age on race day under 40 years of age)
Female Open (combined average age on race day under 40 years of age)
Coed Open (must include at least one female to qualify for award -ages same as above)
Male Masters (combined average age on race day over 40 years of age)
Female Masters (combined average age on race day over 40 years of age)
Coed Masters (must include at least one female to qualify – ages same as above)
Coed Seniors (must include at least one female to qualify – average age 50+)
Family/Couples (may include your extended family – category does not require one female)
Fundraising (teams submitted by our official charities – category does not require one female)
School (Team Name must include School Name – may include students, teachers, and staff)

Corporate Team (only corporate teams may use their business name in their team name – exception is Create your Own (see below) – category does not require a female). The winning corporate team will also receive a Delaware Marathon™ plaque that will be presented to the business after the event.

You may Create Your Own Relay Team Category with as few as five (5) team registrations. Create your relay categories may set up their teams as they wish and each member of the winning team within each Create Your Own Relay category will receive an award. In 2011, we gave out an additional 24 Delaware Relay Marathon awards to the winning team members from Christiana Care, ASPA, PSEG, HSBC Bank, Conoco-Phillips, and Joy-Hope who had more than five registered teams. If you are thinking of forming a Create Your Own Relay Team Category, please let us know and we’ll reserve team spots for you!
