The Delaware Half Marathon has officially sold out!  We thank you for your interest in this growing aspect of our running festival.  For those on the half marathon wait list, we will make the decision if we can add more runners on April 10, 2013.  Keep your fingers crossed and keep on training.

Delaware Half Marathon

A stand-alone half marathon was added to the Delaware Marathon™ Running Festival in 2009 and this new event proved to be very successful. The Anesthesia Services, P.A. Delaware Half Marathon will begin at 7:20 am (twenty minutes after the marathon) and run on the same marathon course. This USATF certified (DE 08016LMB) half marathon course starts and finishes at Tubman Garrett Riverfront Park and encompasses the Riverfront, Downtown, Brandywine Park, Kentmere Parkway, Bancroft Parkway, Wawaset Park, and Little Italy sections of Wilmington.

Registration will close at the end of business on Saturday April 30, 2013, or earlier if the field is filled. Please register early as we have sold out all our events the last five years. The Race Director reserves the right to cap the size of the marathon field. Last year, the half marathon field was capped at 1200 runners and was the first of our events to sell out. So please register early.

There are two ways to register for this event. You may print and mail our PDF Entry Form or you may register online.

Half Marathon registrations are $65, if received or postmarked by April 1, 2013. If the Half Marathon field is not yet filled, registrations received after April 1, 2013 will be accepted at $75. Entry forms and payments received after the Half Marathon field is filled will be destroyed.

Registrants will be able to confirm their registration by viewing the 2013 participant listing for their event. Registrations are posted to the website roughly twice a month: on or about the 15th and on or about the 30th of each month. As race day approaches, we will update the participant listings more frequently.
