The Delaware 8P Relay Marathon has officially sold out!  While we thank you for your interest in this growing aspect of our running festival, we can add no more 8P relay teams.

8 Person Relay Registration

The new Discover Bank eight person relay marathon works exactly like the four person relay marathon.  Teams consist of eight members, with each member running one equal distance loop of 3.275 miles.  All loops start and finish at the Relay Start / Finish in Tubman Park.

When registering by mail, teams must register all eight runners together and all eight registration forms must be received together with the combined entry fee of $320. Please indicate on the forms in which running position the team member will be competing: (Runner #1, Runner #2, Runner #3, Runner #4; Runner #5; Runner #6; Runner #7; Runner #8).

Corporate eight person relay marathon registrations are $400, regardless of when received.  Only Corporate Teams may include their business or organization’s name in their team name.  Corporate teams receive race program recognition and will also compete for a special corporate category award to be awarded to the business or organization.

You may use the regular Delaware Marathon™ Registration Form to register your team or click here for the custom 8P application form.   Note: runners may complete more than one non-consecutive leg and still qualify for 8P relay awards.

Depending on the number of eight person teams, the Race Director reserves the right to limit the field and to establish the number of award categories.  Anyone can create an eight person team – they are not exclusively reserved for our sponsors and beneficiaries.

Eight person relay marathon registrations are $320 if received or postmarked by April 1, 2013.  If the eight person relay marathon is not yet filled, relay registrations received after April 1, 2013 will be accepted at $400.

NOTE: Because of the numerous relay team registration changes and additions that are received after the field closes each year, late additions and replacements to relay teams that need to be made after April 15, 2013 will be subject to a $25 processing fee.
