Dare Devil

Runners love a challenge.  Add a little BLING as the motivation and Game On!  The Delaware Running Festival dares you to take part in this two-day running challenge by completing two races in the same weekend.  3 Medals, 2 Races, 1 Hell of a Good Time.

What do I have to do?

Complete the Twilight 5K and the Full Marathon or Half-Marathon within 18 hours. (Crazy, right?)

When will I do this?

The 5K will start at 6PM on Saturday.  The half marathon starts at 7:00AM on Sunday.

What do I get for being a Dare Devil?

  • A special bib
  • An extra medal
  • A savings of up to $5 versus registering for the races separately
  • Two race shirts (one for each race distance)
  • A reason to say “I am truly a Dare Devil!”

So you get 3 Medals, 2 Race Shirts and 1 Hell of a Good Time!

ALL FINISHERS WILL RECEIVE THIS MEDAL WHEN THEY FINISH ON SUNDAY.

How do I register?

From the online registration page of the website, you will see a special category called the Dare Devil! Select this category to enroll in both the 5K and half-marathon at once and receive your special Dare Devil discount.

But what if I’m already registered for the 5K or the Full/Half Marathon?

Register for the other race and COMPLETE THIS FORM to let us know you are now eligible. We will make the adjustment in our system manually. The deadline to merge your race entries is May 1. PLEASE NOTE: If you register for the two distances separately, you are not eligible for your discounted rate.

What else should I know before becoming a Dare Devil?

Dare Devil medals will be distributed following the completion of the half-marathon. Your special bib will be distributed at the expo and will help our volunteers and everyone else identify you as a Dare Devil participant.
