HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY
WE ARE EXCITED THAT SO MANY OF YOU HAVE DECIDED TO SPEND YOUR MOTHER’S DAY MORNING WITH US THIS YEAR. WE KNOW THAT YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT RACE DAY EXPERIENCE WHETHER YOU DECIDE TO SPEND THE WHOLE DAY WITH US OR IF YOU DECIDE TO RUN IN THE MORNING AND GET BACK TO CELEBRATE WITH THE FAMILY AT HOME. BOTTOM LINE IS THE CREW AT CORRIGAN SPORTS WAS RAISED RIGHT AND KNOWS HOW TO HONOR MOM! WE HAVE COME UP WITH A NUMBER OF SPECIAL ACTIVITIES TO HELP MAKE YOUR DELAWARE RUNNING FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE EXTRA SPECIAL.
FLOWERS AT THE FINISH LINE- There is no better way to say Thank You than with flowers. This year, all female finishers will be provided with a flower when they cross the finish line on Sunday, courtesy of Safeway. This is in addition to the medal and the race premium they earn for completing the race. (Some of us know flowers also say I’m Sorry but that is a story for another day!)
MOTHER/CHILD SLIDER MEDALS– Those Moms who run with their child will earn a special finisher medal to slide over their finisher’s medal that they will also earn. Both mom & child will get this unique keepsake to remind them of their Mother’s Day run. This is open to any Mother/Child combo. We are no longer taking requests for Mother-Child slider medals. Medals for those who pre-registered will be distributed from the Merchandise tent on race day. A list of pre-registered families will be available when you pick up.
FREE FAMILY PHOTO BOOTH– As a special Mother’s Day gift, our friends from Discover Bank will have a booth to take complementary family photos post-race. Bring your loved ones to the Celebration Village and have your group photo taken. (Different than your course photos taken throughout the day.) Preserve that lasting memory for years to come. Race day attire acceptable! No ties or dresses necessary for this photo. Images will be available for FREE.
RUN LIKE A MUTHA SHIRTS & TANKS– Also don’t miss out on our limited edition Delaware Run Like a Mutha gear. Our running festival falls on mother’s day this year, so whether you’re a mom and you’d like to treat yourself, OR you’re the Spouse or child of a Mom participating in the event, these items are a must-have! Front and back complete with shimmer-foil finish printing for Mom to shine like the star she is throughout her training. Available in tank or women’s crew. AVAILABLE SOON online and in our merchandise store on race weekend.
